The Story of Pickney Harvest Co.

In 1947, the Pickney family moved to River Road building a homestead to raise their 8 children. The family lived off the land, farming its rich soil and serving neighbors throughout Nashville. The Pickneys rustled up hearty meals at the restaurant and provided grocery supplies at the Pickney General Store.

As the decades passed, the property evolved—transforming from a humble family farm into a renowned local landmark. It became a beloved dive bar, a listening room for local musicians, and even the site of a celebrated music festival, drawing visitors from across the region.

Now, in 2026, the family's next generation is returning to its roots. With a renewed spirit and deep respect for the land, we are bringing back the pumpkin farm nestled in the river bottom and planting vibrant flower fields to share the beauty and bounty of this historic place once more.
